2. I’ve been to a couple of conferences where the organizers used Twitter to update the attendees. I, personally, just use it for farting around most of the time.
   One of the associations I belong to uses it to let us know when they update the website or want something.

3. Since I rank in the bottom .01%, I didn’t bother. I’m with the farting around part. If it gets too serious, I’ll drop it.

4. I’m following (and being followed by) Stephen Fry, who is partly farting around and partly keeping people up-to-date on various projects he’s working on. It’s a nice mix – I especially enjoyed the updates on his latest trip to Africa.
